Nice. The upper tier Yamaha arrangers like this one has much better sounding styles without that cheesy arranger vibe that give those keyboards that stigma.

Would I be able to connect the Go Keys 3 to a mixer to do live playing?

It would have been great if you had compared the Sounds and Style of Genos Vs Korg E.g. Strings, Piano, Accordion. And then with Styles like Bossa nova, Jazz, Samba, Reggae. That way one can get some degree of realism on which Keyboard steels the show at the Orchestra Level!

Anyone with a functional brain inside his head would of course picks DGX670 over Genos. Only IF you're a pro gig musician with lots of gigs and earn 50K a year from gigging, Genos 2 would be cheap in this situation and its price will be pretty justified. Most Genos owners/customers since 2017 are rich hobbyists. Great vid brother

what amazes me is that these boards CANNOT output digital audio over USB, which would make it extremely easy to create a WAV etc of the music you're making...

why not just capture the MIDI out over USB? that way it remains digital throughout the entire output stage if you capture the analogue left/right you've got to convert it to digital over a ADC..

Does "the cloud" cost additional money? And what if the cloud, over time, becomes unsupported? Can downloaded sounds be stored to USB for permanent keeps?

That's an attractive feature along with the downloads. But, to Roland (no disrespect to you, Phil), why should I pay $150 extra for some inputs and outputs that should be standard, and the opportunity to buy sound modules with a constant barrage of sonic crack for sale like you do in Zenbeats? I 'm just trying to encourage musicians to stop paying premium prices without haggling for better deals.

Damn, this is amazing to watch, i can watch this video a trillion times!!! You are indeed one of the top best UA-camrs demonstrating Mixcraft playing with a Rhodes sound with wurly effect., I like these types of songs. This is a good way of laying out multitrack flexibility as these Go keys models don't offer a built in 16-track sequencer. Way to go!!👍

This would be the 'perfect' keyboard if: it had a modulation control / joystick like the Roland FA series for example and a built-in 16-track sequencer and 2 or 5 rotary or slider realtime effect controls like the portable also 61 key: the KORG KROSS 1 and 2. It's a pitty that these Go Keys 3 and 5 don´t offer this😞.

Do the actual keys feel any different to the previous gokeys?

This is beautiful x I have just purchased the keyboard but have difficulty getting my mics to work ! Both mics are new ! Is there something I’m missing ? I watch all your tutorials so unsure if I’m missing something

Does it have a dedicated song bank button? to switch between voices?

Have you ever played on a Korg Kross 2? I ask this because the Kross is a model that is also lightweight in portability and battery powered. To my ears the piano sounds of this Roland Go keys sound better than the kross. The Kross 1 and 2 have a built-in 16-track sequencer and a modulation control while this model doesn't offer sadly. Nice excellent playing!

Big probs importing these through Normal USB stick after downloading from cloud

I’ve been messing around with the Roland cloud this evening and I have the pro membership, but I am wondering if the ultimate membership is actually better because it has all the VST’s of all the Roland products ever made. Any experience with that or comments? I’d be curious as to your opinion about that. I am totally impressed with the go keys! I have at least a dozen keyboards, including the newest Yamaha DGX, some Roland keyboards XP 80 FP3 etc. JV 1080 but the GoKeys and Cloud combo are pretty impressive for the amount of money that you pay for it.

What separates the go key 5 are the styles..Korg or Yamaha don't offer the urban flavor this keyboard provides..not to mention the bang for the buck...love the electric pianos, scat voices and abundance of syn tones.

I just received my GO:KEYS 3 a few days ago, and I love it. The speakers sound fine to me in my bedroom. I'm not a professional and I don't do gigs, so this is great for me. Thank you for your reviews.

Hi Phill here in UK I saw a comment about vibration on the go keys 5 and the person stopped the vibration by putting the batteries in the battery compartment. I have Xvive u2 transmitters for connecting guitars wirelessly to my amp would they be compatible with the Go KEYS in place of the G7 ones you mentioned. Thanks for all you do.

It's not a matter of vibrations from loud sounds, it happens even at low volume (less than half) with acoustic piano sounds. Weirdly enough, when playing loud and bass heavy music, I don't hear the issue. It is a shame that the GK5 which is supposed to sound better than the GK3 shows this issue, but as you said, it is not necessarily a dealbreaker. The keyboard is great nonetheless.

I don't know about 3 but that radiator on 5 makes that keyboard vibrate/shake so it makes you feel that instrument gives you physical feedback. There are actually 2 speakers and 2 passive radiators inside. If someone wants it is not hard to dissasembly GO:KEYS 3/5 and change default speakers for something even superior. I think it won't be so difficult to find something nice. Also in case you can actually change covers of speakers on the corpus. Change to those from keys 3 (the only thing colour will be different) or 3D print new for your custom speakers. But personaly me I preffer to leave just ORIGINAL. I love my GO:KEYS 5 GRAPHITE as it is!

The 3 strings were more loud. The 5 strings were more clear as far as highs, mids, and lows. Does the the 5 offer more functionalilty or just more outputs? What justifies a $150 price difference?
